November 15, 2007 - Neighborhood America, the leading enterprise social network solutions provider, along with Adidas and Isobar, share the spotlight at the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) Annual Global Awards as the winners of the Best Use of Mobile Marketing - Cross Media Integration category.
The winning campaign leveraged Neighborhood America's MOVO Mobile solution to extend the reach of the Adidas brand and engage the nearly 500,000 fans visiting Las Vegas during the NBA All-Star Week 2007. Cross-media marketing efforts included wallscapes on Vegas monuments, landmark statues dressed in Adidas apparel, airport banners, taxicab tops, Adidas custom trucks, hotel billboards and magazine inserts. Consumers opted-in to the campaign by texting the key word "ORIGINALS" to receive dynamically generated event information on-demand.
One significant result was the response to text message promotions sent by adidas to drive retail revenue. Within 30 minutes of sending a text alert promoting the release of a limited edition All-Star shoe, a flash mob of eager consumers formed outside the Las Vegas adidas Sport Performance Store. Overall, sales at the Store increased twenty-fold during the event. Most importantly, adidas built a mobile community of brand enthusiasts that the company can easily re-engage to participate in future campaigns.
"Mobile networking presents brands like Adidas with enormous branding and consumer engagement opportunities," said Dan Miller, Neighborhood America's vice president of mobile solutions. "The campaign that Neighborhood America, Adidas, and Isobar created proves that, by leveraging innovative mobile technologies to target specific audiences, and engage them around content of shared interest, companies can drive unparalleled branding and monetization results."
"This has been an exciting year for mobile marketing globally with more than 260 submissions for this year's MMA Awards program," said Laura Marriott, president of the MMA. "We congratulate Neighborhood America on its win, underscoring how brands and marketers will increasingly utilize the mobile channel as viable means to reach consumers."
The MMA's Third Annual Mobile Marketing Awards recognize leaders and innovators in the mobile marketing industry worldwide. The MMA received submissions from companies across the globe in 12 different categories. Finalists were selected by the MMA Awards Selection Committee comprised of industry leaders from wireless carriers, technology and content providers, agencies and leading industry publications. The awards were presented at the MMA Annual Global Awards dinner and ceremony on November 14 in Los Angeles, following the conclusion of the MMA's Mobile Marketing Forum.
